LawPacks - "For 1"

This LawPack is for your use only. If your spouse, partner or friend wants to use it as well they will need to buy their own LawPack or you will need to purchase our "For 2" version.

LawPacks - "For 2"

This means that you and your spouse, partner or friend can use this LawPack. That is, two people, you and one other (maximum) can use it.

What software do I need on my computer to use a LawPack?

Documents will be delivered to you by e-mail in either pdf or Word format.

You will need WinZip (or similar) to unzip the download files as the files come to you zipped. You can download a free evaluation version from (www.winzip.com).

You will need at least version 5 of Acrobat Reader to view the pdf documents which can be downloaded free from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

What about Security?

Security is maintained at all these levels:

encryption of data you send to us;
use of e-Gate: the ANZ e-commerce payment portal (with bank security);
building LawPacks on your Hard-drive (rather than accross the web).

How do I pay?

For casual (Pay-As-You-Go) users - via credit card online. Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard are accepted.

For Subscribers - on monthly account.

What about my Privacy?

Your privacy is important to us.

We only require very minimal information from you to order a LawPack.

We don't get your credit card number, only ANZ eGate does.

How large will the LawPack download files be?

The download files vary in size depending on the LawPack ordered but generally range between 100KB and 300KB.

There are 1024 KB in 1 Megabyte.

I have not received my LawPack

Sometimes your firewall or spam filter can stop delivery. Either check your spam box or email support@lawpacks.com.au and we will send it to you again.

How do I get a login and password?

You only need these if you are a Subscriber (or a Shop Owner). Pay-as-you-go customers do not need them.

I get a "runtime error" when I try to open my LawPack

How do I Open it?

This normally means that you do not have software to open a zipped file. Here are instructions on how to get this software for free.

i. LawPacks are provided as compressed zip files (ie: a LawPack consists of a number of files, compressed into one).

ii. To access these files you will need software to open the zip file.

- Users of Microsoft Windows XP will be able to open the zip file simply by double-clicking the downloaded file.

- Other users of Windows 2000 and earlier (ME, 98, 95) will require third-party software in order to open their LawPack.

- The most popular software suite used commonly to open zip files is 'WinZip' (www.winzip.com). Go to the WinZip website www.winzip.com and download a trial version of their zip file extraction software for free.

iii. Once you have software to open the zip file, browse to where you have saved the LawPack and simply double click it. Users of WinZip may encounter a number of menus before reaching the contents of the zip file (depending on internal settings in the WinZip software).

Users of Windows XP should notice that the zip file is treated as it is a 'folder' or 'directory'.

iv. Once you have opened the zip file, either extract (WinZip users) or copy the documents out of the zip file (Windows XP) to a location from which you will be able to retrieve these files later. Once this process is complete, you should be able to access your files from the location which you have extracted them to.

What if I can't download my LawPack?

Your problem is probably because you do not have WinZip or similar on your computer.

Download free evaluation version of WinZip
Reboot your computer
Then download LawPack again
